The Metropolitan Visits Holy Resurrection, Dresden (near Stoke)

dresden25On Sunday 14th August, the day after the Ilam Pilgrimage for St Bertram, Sayedna Silouan visited Holy Resurrection Dresden, near Stoke-on-Trent, within the parish of St Michael, Audley.  After the Liturgy the Metropolitan was presented with an icon of the Holy Archangel Michael by the hand of Terence Roberts.  Terry has studied iconography under Efrem Carrasco from St Aidan’s Manchester.  Efrem himself has written holy icons for the iconostasis.  The two adjacent parishes have close personal ties.  A photo album of the visit is available here.
