Pilgrimage to Harpham

On Saturday, 19th June, we made a pilgrimage to
Harpham in East Yorkshire, which is the
birthplace of St. John of Beverley.
We were joined by fourteen members of the South Yorkshire Branch of
the Ecumenical Society of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
A concelebrated Divine Liturgy was served by Frs. George and Dennis at 11.00a.m. Then water was sanctified and a new
icon (commissioned by Fr.
Dennis and written by George Iannou) of St.
John was consecrated. The liturgical part of the pilgrimage ended with the
sprinkling of Holy Water.
After the liturgical part of the pilgrimage, the
E.S.B.V.M. members visited Beverley and our people had lunch at the local
inn and, in the afternoon, went to Driffield to bless Ibrahim Zakhour’s
family’s house
Fr.
Dennis.
